IN RING SEGMENT
The best friends kicks off the show, as Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens, the two men who could be co-WWE Champions this Sunday make their way to the ring. Kevin Owens says it’s time to pay attention, because right now is the future of the WWE, not a parade of retirees like you saw on the 25th Anniversary episode of Monday Night Raw last night.
Kevin says that the “YEP” movement is about so much more than a one syllable word, but instead it’s about standing up for what you believe in in the face of tyranny. He says that they are the best talent in the WWE, and AJ Styles has no chance of overcoming the 2-1 odds a the Royal Rumble. Sami Zayn says he wants to spell it out for AJ Styles: 1. They are going to beat him. 2. They are going to become the first ever co-WWE Champions. 3. Just to add insult to injury, they are going to hurt him after they take his WWE Championship.

AJ Styles has heard enough, and he is out there is a mic in hand, sporting his WWE Championship, of course. The crowd is hot for AJ Styles. AJ questions if he heard them correctly, and if they said they were actually going to beat him. He has one word for them: NOPE. He asks if that annoys them, because they’ve been annoying people with the “YEP” Movement for months now.
Sami Zayn says he doesn’t care, because soon everyone will be chanting “YEP”, from the fans, people at the airport, to his family. AJ says that they seem pretty confident, and they should, as they have the advantage. But he is phenomenal and this isn’t the Kevin & Sami Show, this is Smackdown Live, and this is the house that AJ Styles Built.
Kevin Owens says that he isn’t surprised that he came out there and was so ignorant, because ignorance is the official language of Washington D.C., and Sami reminds AJ that ignorance is the thing that got him in this predicament in the first place. And someone was there to take him up on his offer, and now he has to follow through. So now they wonder if he will follow through on other things he’s said. AJ looks confused and they play footage from two weeks ago, where AJ said he would be happy to face both of the men separately in the same night. Kevin Owens lays down the challenge and says that tonight, they should have the match, first against Kevin Owens, followed immediately by a match with Sami Zayn.
Daniel Bryan comes out and says that he agrees with both AJ and Sami & Kevin. AJ stops him and says the doesn’t trust Daniel Bryan and says he could very well be in bed with Sami & Kevin. He says that before Daniel Bryan has the chance to do it, AJ himself is going to accept the challenge and make the matches official. He is not only to face them both one-on-one, he is going to hurt them.
