As was seen on tonight’s Smackdown Live, Shane McMahon was forced to make two big matches in response to the actions of Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn that have major implications for WWE Fastlane.
Before their match to see who would qualify as the fourth man in the WWE Championship match at WWE Fastlane Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens attacked both Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler, taking both men out before their match could get underway. The WWE Championship Match already has WWE Champion AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn all vying for the WWE Championship, and was slated to add either Corbin or Ziggler.

Because of that, Shane McMahon made a match between Kevin Owens & Baron Corbin, and another between Sami Zayn & Dolph Ziggler. McMahon stated that if one or both should win their respective matches, one or both will be added to the Fastlane main event which will effectively make the match either a Fatal 4-Way or a Fatal 5-Way!
Additionally, if either Sami Zayn or Kevin Owens interfere in tonight’s matchups, they will effectively be removed from the WWE Championship match!
