Ring Of Honor star, Flip Gordon has recently spoken with The Mirror about a range of topics including the upcoming ROH International Cup.
On Best Of The Super Juniors:
“Wrestling in Japan was amazing. I mean I had always heard about this tournament and to be able to be a part of it so early in to my career was astonishing. It was a huge learning experience for me and it helped me learn how to adapt.

“I got to know the guys very well, guys like Chris Sabin, Marty Scurll, ACH, Will Ospreay, because we were all over there together and obviously being the only English speaking guys helped. But also people like Takahashi helped me. We have had a bit of history from when I made my Japan debut at Honor Rising and then we got a singles match in Vegas for ROH. Obviously unfortunately he was recently injured and I am wishing him a speedy recovery. He is not just a great wrestler, but a great person too.”
Still hoping to be booked for ALL IN:
“I would like to be optimistic and hope there is still a chance. There is still a month left to get booked for the biggest show of the year. I have been brainstorming some ideas, talking to The Young Bucks, Marty Scurll, Brandi Rhodes. I am focused on getting booked but also I have got to stay focused on what is in front of me.”
His first thoughts on the UK International Cup competitors:
“Jimmy Havoc – scary. Mark Haskins – beautiful blond hair. Joe Hendry – making an Impact. Jonathan Gresham – technical wizard. Christopher Daniels – Fallen Angel. Sorry, I couldn’t go off the script there. Adam Page – future world champion. Kip Sabian – super exciting.”
Who he doesn’t want to face:
“Definitely Jimmy Havoc, he is very, very scary. I have been on shows with him before and he is just nuts. I am scared to death of him. I mean look at him, he looks like he has no fear. He has been in deathmatch after deathmatch and he just walks around like nothing has happened. That is not normal.”
