Brandi Rhodes, Chief Brand Officer of All Elite Wrestling, took to Twitter today to pay respect to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., thanking him for paving “a path for me to be able to stand up on this platform.” Rhodes is one of the few women of color to hold a prominent office role in a wrestling company. In her first appearance as CBO, Rhodes was quick to call for better representation in wrestling, regardless of sex, religion or color. She linked the work Dr. King did with her ability to hold said role in AEW, saying “He had a dream. That dream made my dreams a possibility.”

Today is meant to celebrate and remember a man who stood up for humankind and paved a path for me to be able to stand up on this platform. He had a dream. That dream made my dreams a possibility. 💛 #mlk #MartinLutherKing pic.twitter.com/MDNkw9OzUI
