New Japan Pro-Wrestling held a press conference this morning in Tokyo to officially announce the full match card for their upcoming ‘G1 Supercard’ event with Ring of Honor, set to invade Madison Square Garden in less than two weeks’ time.
In total there will be eleven matches on the show, including a 30-man Honor Rumble match exclusive to the pre-show. The legendary Jushin Thunder Liger, who will be retiring at next year’s Tokyo Dome shows, is the only name currently announced for the Rumble.
There will be nine title matches, with Jay White vs. Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship headlining The Garden, and three brand new matches announced just today for the Women of Honor, IWGP Intercontinental, and RPW British Heavyweight Championships.
