The oh-so-righthanded Yankees got a left-handed hitter back from the Injured List Tuesday when they activated second baseman Rougned Odor.
Odor, who originally went on the 10-day IL with a left knee sprain on May 5, rejoins the team in familiar surroundings — Texas. He spent the first seven years of his career with the Rangers.
He was injured on an awkward collision at the plate with Astros catcher Martin Maldonado on May 4 at Yankee Stadium.

Odor, 27, is batting .164 with a .632 OPS this season in 19 games for the Yankees. He has four home runs and 11 RBI. The Yankees acquired him from Texas in April in a deal for two minor-leaguers.
This season, Yankee lefties are batting only .168 with a .540 OPS. Both marks are the worst in MLB. They now have only one lefty-hitting regular, Brett Gardner.
It remains to be seen whether Odor will play Tuesday night at Globe Life Field against his old team and scheduled starter Mike Foltynewicz, a righty.
