— The former General Manager of Raw, Mike Adamle, has apparently been asked to guest host a future edition of the program. Adamle is a sports anchor and reporter at WMAQ-TV in Chicago and he announced during a broadcast a few days ago that WWE called him with the offer. Adamle did not reveal whether he accepted his former employer’s offer or not.
— As reported earlier, referee Marty Elias (real name Marty Rubalcaba) was let go this past week by WWE. In a trivia note, Rubalcaba’s daughter was the woman Hurricane Helms saved from falling off something in a backstage segment on ECW a few weeks ago.
— Next Tuesday’s SmackDown/ECW taping is almost sold out with a $280,000+ advance. It will actually be the first show in the city since hometown wrestler Chris Benoit’s double-murder suicide. It should be noted that there has been zero mention of the murders or any bad press in the city — at least yet. While next Monday’s Raw taping in Calgary isn’t out, it is said to be doing fine. Lastly, ticket sales for upcoming live events in Regina, Medicine Hat and Red Deer have been sluggish.
