JB is backstage with Gunner. He points out that Bully Ray is the new points leader and whoever wins Gunner’s match tonight will have to win by submission to at least tie Ray. Gunner says he’s waited for this time, and whatever he has to do, he will go to Bound for Glory and main event. Bully Ray comes in and repeats what Gunner just said. He says he doesn’t care what Gunner has to do tonight, don’t quit, submit, or give up. He doesn’t care what happens, Gunner doesn’t give up. The last thing he wants is to face Ray in the finals. Ray tells Gunner to get lost and Gunner walks off. Ray says bullying is his business, and business is good.
TNA Tag Team Championship Match
– Mexican America (c) vs. Devon & D’Angelo Dinero
Tenay runs down the match quickly before Devon and Dinero make their way down to the ring to a pretty good reception from the crowd. Mexican America is out next with Rosita and Sarita in tow. The champions get a bit of a lukewarm reaction from the crowd, outside of a few sparse USA chants.
The start:
Devon and Anarquia look to start things out for their respective teams. The bell rings and we’re ready to being. Both men lock up and Devon takes advantage, working over Anarquia’s arm before locking in a headlock, then taking down Anarquia with a big shoulder block.
Mid-match notes:
Devon tags out to Dinero who comes in and continues to work over Anarquia’s arm before tagging back out to Devon. Anarquia tries to turn things around by tagging out to Hernandez, but Hernande walks right into a couple of big right hands and a flying shoulder block from Devon. Dinero tags back in and comes in with a big fist drop from the middle rope before turning right into Hernandez’s arm. Pope tags right out to Devon and we get a little bit of double team work with a quick drop toe hold and leaping headbutt.
Devon and Dinero make use of the quick tags, going to work on Anarquia while Rosita attempts to distract the ref. Dinero turns his attention to Rosita, going out and giving her a kiss on the apron. Rosita slaps Dinero, so he grabs her hair and holds her off the apron until Anarquia forces him to stop. Dinero turns things right around with a big slam, tagging in Devon and setting up for the What’s up head butt, but Sarita breaks things up. This allows Mexican America to take over for a bit.
Hernandez beats down on Devon for a bit before tagging out to Anarquia. Anarquia wails on Devon with a big right hand before hitting a quick back elbow that’s good for a two count. Anarquia tags out to Hernandez who hits a big splash in the corner before tossing Anarquia in after himself. Sarita comes in with a quick cheap dropkick while the ref is distracted. Hernandez is able to lock in a bear hug to slow things down.
Devon fights out of the bear hug, but goes right back down to a huge shoulder block. Hernandez waits for Devon to get up in the corner, but when he comes charging in, Devon responds with a big spear to take Super Mex off of his feet. Both men struggle to get to their corners and both men make the tag. Pope explodes with a series of clotheslines and a big running forearm on Anarquia before dropkicking Hernandez off the ropes and hitting a big shoulder block on Anarquia. Pope slides across Anarquia’s back while he’s caught in the ropes and follows up with a top rope cross body which is good for a near fall but it’s brpoken up by Hernandez. Anarquia comes up with a side slam and Super Mex hits a big splash from the top. They don’t go for the pin and this allows Devon to come in and both he and Pope go to work on Mexican America, taking Anarquia down, then Hernandez with a big double shoulderblock.
The finish:
Sarita tries to distract and Rosita goes to the top rope. Rosita leaps off with a dropkick but she’s caught by Devon and spanked by Pope. Pope takes out Anarquia and Devon takes out Hernandez. Pope goes for a suplex but Sarita grabs Pope’s foot to cause him to fall back, then holds on so he can’t kick out, allowing Anarquia to pick up the three count.
Winners & STILL TNA Tag Team Champions: Mexican America
Mr. Anderson is backstage with JB. JB asks if we might see teamwork between he and Sting tonight. Anderson says he doesn’t like Sting and Sting for certain doesn’t like him, but they have a common bond in that they hate Immortal. From that big fat tub of lard, Bubba Ray, to the gray haired weasel, Eric Bischoff. Anderson says if it comes down to he and Sting, they’ll face off, and the better man will win, and ride off into the sunset, but there is no sunset because they’re indoors. Or, there’s a new adage. The a**hole does what he wants, then gets his way. Anderson smiles and walks off.

Joe chokes Morgan against the middle ropes. Joe kicks away at Morgan’s back. Morgan begins fighting back, laying in with rights to Joe, but Joe stops him with a big running elbow. Joe is playing it up full heel, sneering at the crowd and taking his time. Joe sends Morgan into the corner again before rocking him with a big kick to Morgan’s face. Joe goes for the cover but he’s only able to get a two count. Joe isn’t happy so he just starts punching Morgan in the face.

Morgan hits a side slam that’s good for a two count.
Joe is able to catch Morgan with a thumb to the eye to stop him in his tracks before hitting a big belly to belly suplex that’s good for another near fall. Joe waits for Morgan to get to his feet. Joe tries to lock in the rear naked choke, but he has trouble getting it locked in on Morgan. Morgan backs Joe up into the corner, but Joe won’t stop trying to lock in the hold. Joe takes Morgan down to one knee, then finally down to the mat and it looks like he’s got it locked in, but they’re close to the ropes.
The finish:
Morgan gets his foot on the ropes to force a break. Joe goes for a splash in the corner, but Morgan avoids it. Morgan comes right up with a big carbon footprint, and this one is over after a three count.

JB is backstage with Bobby Roode and James Storm, he reiterates that he has to win via submission to tie Bully Ray. Roode says he’s been ready for this for the last 13 years. It was Bully Ray and Gunner that nearly took him out at the beginning of this, and now it’s down to them. He says Gunner’s had a hell of a run over the last 12 months, but he’s had a hell of 9 years. He says he’s gonna make Gunner tap out, then kick the crap out of Bully Ray. He says tonight they’ll find out that it pays to be Roode. Roode sends Gunner back into the ring and follows, hitting a couple of quick boots as soon as he’s able.

He says they’ll have a winner for the Bound for Glory Series tonight, as it’ll be Bully Ray vs. Bobby Roode later tonight.
JB is backstage with Austin Aries. Aries says the time to talk is over. All of Kendrick’s philosophical rants are meaningless. Now it’s time for Total Nonstop Action. Total Nonstop Aries. He says he expects Kendrick to bring his A game, but he’s bringing his A Double game, and that’s a whole other level. He says tonight everyone’s going to know why he’s the greatest man that ever lived, and why he’ll be the next, and perhaps the last X-Division championship.
TNA X Division Championship Match
– Brian Kendrick (c) vs. Austin Aries
We get a video package looking at the events that have led directly into this match. And the match that I’m personally most hyped about tonight is ready to begin.
Austin Aries is the first man to make his way out to the ring, in his ridiculous pink vest, and he gets a decent reaction from the crowd. Brian Kendrick is the next man out to the ring, wearing an absolutely ridiculous hat and swinging his title belt on the way down to the ring. It also looks like he’s got some kind of Ugandan flag on his trunks, at least some of the symbols Kamala used to paint on his stomach.
The start:
The bell rings and both men begin circling. The crowd is fairly split between both men. We get a lock up and Aries is quick to take Kendrick down to the mat. Kendrick goes into the ropes to catch his breath for a second. Kendrick calls for a test of strength, but goes to work on Aries’ arm instead. Both men trade holds before Kendrick takes Aries down to the mat with an arm bar. Aries gets into the ropes then goes to the outside to catch his breath.
Mid-match notes:
Back in the ring and Aries locks in a head lock. Kendrick pushes him off, but it leads to a big shoulder block from Aries. Aries hits a couple of deep arm drags before holding on. Kendrick locks in a head scissors, and Aries gets out with a head stand/drop kick combination.
Kendrick uses his speed to take Aries to the mat repeatedly. Kendrick hits a drop toe hold and Aries rolls out to the apron. Aries comes back into the ring with a slingshot sunset flip, but Kendrick kicks him in the face instead. Kendrick tries for sliced bread but Aries fights it off and rolls to the outside. Kendrick follows and lays in with a couple of big forearms before sending Aries into the barricade, then choking Aries with his boot. Kendrick continues the assault, launching him into the barricade again, but Aries is able to turn it around, sending Barricade right into the steel ring post hard.
Aries rolls back into the ring and gets a near fall before choking Kendrick on the bottom rope. Aries slingshots himself to the floor and catches Kendrick with a double sledge on his way out. Aries comes back into the ring for another quick near fall. Aries lays into Kendrick with a couple of nasty strikes while Kendrick is in the ropes. Aries puts Kendrick down to the mat and follows up with a big elbow drop before putting his knee in Kendrick’s back repeatedly. Aries ties Kendrick up in the stump puller, sitting back into a head scissors.
Aries breaks the hold and Kendrick gets to his feet, attempting to fight back. Aries puts him right back down to the mat, and goes for his pendulum elbow, but Kendrick moves out of the way. Kendrick is able to come up with a jawbreaker, but when he goes for an enzugiri, Aries ducks it and sends Kendrick into the middle turnbuckle hard. Aries yells at Kendrick to get up and he goes for his corner dropkick, but Kendrick gets up his leg for a quick stiff kick. Kendrick charges into Aries with a quick strike and a couple of quick dropkicks. Aries is hung up in the ropes and Kendrick dropkicks him to the outside before hitting a suicide dive, driving Aries into the barricade. Kendrick sends Aries back into the ring and follows in with a missile dropkick from the top that’s good for another two count.
Kendrick hits a big tornado DDT, but it’s still not enough to keep Aries down for a three count. Kendrick goes for sliced bread, but when he gets to the corner Aries tosses him over the top and to the floor. Aries goes for a suicide dive, but Kendrick moves and Aries crashes and burns, diving head first into the barricade.
Aries is able to crawl back into the ring and Kendrick goes to work with right hands. Aries responds with forearms. Both men trade blows, but Aries is able to side step a charging Kendrick and throw him to the outside. Aries launches himself over the top rope with a slingshot twisting press, and it looks like Kendrick misses the spot as Aries falls hard to the floor, but Kendrick still sells it. Aries is quick to get back to his feet, taking Kendrick into the ring and working on him in the corner. Aries hits his charging corner dropkick, which is good for a two count. Kendrick comes up with a small package out of nowhere for two, then a backslide, then a roll up, all for two. Aries fights off another roll up and hits a sick forearm shiver, sending Kendrick to the mat. Aries drapes Kendricks legs across the top rope and hits a spinning neckbreaker/DDT style move for another two count.
The finish:
Aries goes for the 450 but Kendrick moves. Kendrick sends Aries into the corner hard and hits a double underhook for two. Kendrick goes for the sliced bread but the ref is in the way. This lets Aries get in a quick low kick, followed up by a brainbuster, this leads to Aries scoring a three count.
Winner & NEW TNA X Division Champion: Austin Aries
Aries has the referee hold him up on his shoulder before taking a quick victory lap around the ring.
JB is backstage with Bully Ray talking about the finals coming up in just a bit. Bully Ray says he didn’t know he’d have to wrestle two times, but if you can’t count on someone to do something, you should just do it yourself. He couldn’t count on Gunner getting the job done. He says when you think about tag team wrestling you think about Ray, but it’s not about that tonight. He’s got one more match before he has the opportunity to wrestle for the World Title. Bound For Glory is in Philadelphia. His chances against Roode are pretty good. He knows his neck is screwed up, and Ray is coming after his neck, then he’s going to piss off the wrestling world. Bully Ray is the next World Heavyweight Champion.
Bound For Glory Series Final Match
– Bobby Roode vs. Bully Ray
Bully Ray makes his way out to the ring to a bit of a non-reaction from the crowd, though it does get a bit louder as he gets closer to the ring. Roode is out next, and although the crowd isn’t as excited to see him this time around, they’re still happy he’s there. Storm is still not accompanying Roode.
Ray goes out to the entrance ramp to get in Roode’s face. Ray talks smack before telling Roode he’s turning his back and he’s welcome to take a show. Roode lets Ray get back to the ring before making his way. We get official ring introductions for both men from JB, and it looks like we’re finally ready to cap off this crazy, confusing tournament.
The start:
The bell rings, and this one is on. Again, the crowd is solidly behind Roode, chanting Beer Money over and over. Ray and Roode stare each other down. Roode and Ray trade words, mostly Ray yelling, before both men back away. They go for a lock up, but Ray goes into the ropes, forcing Roode to back away. Ray calls for a test of strength, and they start to lock up before Ray goes out to the apron.
Mid-match notes:
Roode pushes Ray off the apron and Ray goes around, posturing for the fans. Ray grabs a chair and stalks around the ring with it for a while before dropping it. Ray snatches the hat off of a fan’s head and the fan stands up, backing Bully Ray away. Ray finally makes his way back into the ring very slowly.
We finally get the first true lock up and Roode takes Ray down to the mat, where he immediately rolls to the outside. Ray comes back into the ring more quickly this time and he’s taken right down with another arm drag. Ray slams his hands down on the mat and he looks to be getting frustrated. Another lock up and Ray backs Roode up into the corner, hitting a big open hand chop to the chest and Roode will not be intimidated. Roode backs Ray away with a stare. Another lock up and another chop from Ray with the same response from Roode. Roode slaps Ray across the face before hitting a trio of rights. Ray responds with a clothesline that doesn’t take Roode down, and Roode comes back with a clothesline of his own that takes Ray off his feet. Ray goes to the outside.
Ray makes his way back into the ring slowly, and Roode looks bolstered by the fan support. Ray locks in a head lock and takes Roode down to a single knee. Roode gets back to his feet and sends Ray across the ring but he’s taken right down with a big shoulder block. Roode gets back to his feet, and he’s selling his head and neck. Both men lock up and we get another headlock from Ray, and another shoulder block that’s good for two. Ray and Roode trade holds for a second before Roode is able to lock in the cross face out of nowhere. Ray grabs at the referee, but he won’t give up. Ray counters into a pin but Roode kicks out before one.
Roode is able to go behind Ray and hit a big clubbing blow to the back. Roode follows it up with a chop, then a series of right hands, but he ends up hot shotted by Ray into the top rope throat first. Ray hits a neckbreaker, and the crowd is not happy with the way the tide has turned. Ray hits the ropes and comes out with a big splash. He goes for a pin and gets two, then goes for another pin, then another, but Roode still won’t give up.
Ray slaps Roode across the face, then hard across the back. He asks if Roode is going to fight before hitting another huge slap to the chest. Ray won’t stop, delivering another chop to the chest, but all it does is fire up Bobby Roode. Ray looks stunned. Ray chops Roode, and Roode comes back with a couple of big blows of his own. Ray won’t die, but neither will Roode. Ray sends Roode into the ropes and eats a big running forearm, then a clothesline. Roode hits a big chop to Ray’s chest before being sent into the corner. Ray charges but Roode gets his boot up, then launches himself with a neckbreaker from the second rope that’s good for a two count.
Ray is able to pick Roode up and slam him down to the mat hard, but he’s still not able to keep Roode down for a three count. Ray is able to connect with the Bubba bomb, but Roode still won’t stay down past two.
The finish:
Ray goes to the middle rope for a back splash, but Roode avoids it, and connects with a spine buster when he gets to his feet. Roode pins Ray, and this one is over.
Winner of the Bound For Glory Points Series: Bobby Roode
Roode celebrates after the match, going up in the corner and doing the ‘belt-across-the-waist’ move. Roode celebrates with the crowd and Ray looks on in disbelief.
Taz and Tenay immediately turn to speculating who will face Roode at Bound for Glory next month, leading us right into a backstage interview with JB.
JB says they’d like to take time out of their show tonight to remember people who lost loved one’s in the September 11th attacks ten years ago. They bring in Sarita, who lost her father in the attacks. Sarita says it’s hard because every day she wakes up without her dad, who was an inspiration for her to get into the business. Sarita relates her stories of her father, saying that he was the one who taught her to put on a proper head lock. She says every time she goes to the ring she thinks of him and prays. She says she’s happy to have the TNA family with her because today’s been hard, and she appreciates everyone and everything.
Triple Threat Match for the TNA Championship
– Kurt Angle (c) vs. Sting vs. Mr. Anderson
We get a quick video package that details some of the events that have led into this triple threat match tonight. With limited time left, they’d better get this show on the road if they want to put on a good main event.
Mr. Anderson is the first competitor to make his way out to the Impact Zone. He stops at the top of the ramp to call down his mic. Anderson asks where his a**holes are, and the crowd goes nuts. He says he hails from Green Bay, Wisconsin. He says his own name, then repeats of course, to the delight of the crowd. Anderson finally makes his way toward the ring. Sting is the next man out, to a big pop from the crowd. The TNA World Champion, Kurt Angle, is the final man to make his way out to the ring. He gets a bit of a mixed reaction, but it’s a bit more subdued than Sting’s. We get formal ring introductions for everyone, and finally, after much fanfare, we’re ready to start our main event of the evening, and it looks like it’s gonna be a fairly quick one at that.
The start:
The bell rings and this one is ready to begin. Angle bails to the outside and lets Anderson and Sting start off. Anderson holds the ropes open for Angle, but he doesn’t look too interested. Kurt finally does get back into the ring, and Anderson and Angle are quick to team up on him in the corner. Anderson and Sting lay in with kicks and punches before sending him from corner to corner.
Mid-match notes:
Anderson comes in with a splash before Sting completely shows him up with a big Stinger splash. Anderson and Sting kick away at Angle before Sting holds the champ for Anderson to lay in with rights. Then Anderson holds Angle so that Sting can kick him in the gut.
Sting clotheslines Angle to the outside where he crumples and stays down. Anderson and Sting turn to each other. Both men lock up and Anderson locks in a head lock. Sting fights him off but falls to a shoulder block. Sting retaliates with a big hip toss that sends Anderson across the ring before locking in a head lock. Anderson backs Sting into the corner, but it’s turned around and Sting pounds on Anderson in the corner. Anderson reverses a whip into the corner and takes Sting on with a couple of big rights of his own. Anderson picks Sting up and slams him right down which is good for a two count. Sting sends Anderson into the ropes but he’s pulled to the outside by Angle and clotheslined hard to the floor.
Angle gets Sting to chase him around the ring and punishes him when they get back into the ring but Sting is able to turn it around and hit an atomic drop to stop Angle cold. Sting sends Angle into the corner hard before kicking his leg out from underneath. Sting connects with a powerful suplex, but it still can’t keep Angle down for three. Angle sends Sting out to the floor and when Angle turns around he’s dropped with a clothesline from Anderson.
Anderson chokes Angle in the corner with his boot before whipping him into the corner hard. Anderson pins Angle for another two count. Angle is able to fight Anderson off for a bit but Anderson drops Angle with a big DDT. Anderson goes for the pin but it’s broken up by Sting. Sting takes Anderson into the corner and down to the mat with big clubbing blows and kicks. Anderson turns it around but ends up being whipped across the ring. Sting charges in but eats a boot. Sting is able to get Anderson in German suplex position and Angle does the same to Sting, leading to a double German.
Angle turns to Sting, laying in with boots to the side of the head before laying Sting out with a big right. Angle hits a beautiful snap suplex, going right into the pin for a quick two count. Angle locks in a rear chin lock with a body scissors, and Sting looks to be fading.
The referee starts the count on Sting, dropping his arm twice, but when he goes for the third, Sting won’t quit. Sting gets up to his feet and fights out of the hold, taking Angle down with a series of clotheslines before hitting a Stinger splash in the corner. Sting delivers a DDT to Angle but Anderson is able to break up the pin attempt. Anderson comes up with a freaking enzugiri to Sting, but when he goes for a pin Angle breaks it up. Anderson tries for a mic check on Anderson but it’s broken up. Angle instead hits three consecutive German suplexes on Anderson, then three more on Sting.
Angle can’t get the pin on either man following an impressive suplex display. Angle picks up Anderson and places him up on the top rope. Anderson follows up and tries for the superplex, but Anderson fights back. Anderson sends Angle down to the mat, but Kurt comes right back with a jumping belly to belly from the top. Angle gets a two count. Angle tries for an Olympic slam on Sting but Sting avoids it and backdrops Angle to the floor instead. Sting goes for the scorpion death lock on Sting but Anderson fights it. Sting is finally able to turn Anderson and the hold is locked in. Anderson screams in pain but he continues to fight to the ropes. Sting pulls Anderson back into the middle of the ring.
