There is situation unfolding at Monday’s RAW from Montreal involving Jerry Lawler.
There was a moment on commentary where both announcers went silent and Cole removed his headset. He then continued calling the match on his own, as the live crowd began chanting “Jerry, Jerry!”
Michael Cole addressed the viewers at home and said Lawler’s situation is not part of tonight’s “entertainment,” and that Lawler is currently receiving CPR from the medical staff backstage.
Arda Ocal is reporting that Lawler appears to have been convulsing, and then fell unconscious. He was then taken to the back by legitimate medical staff:
“Something is going on with Jerry Lawler right now at the commentary table… It looks like he collapsed. Not part of show.
He is being carried away by personnel to the backstage area. He appeared unconscious as he was being carried.
I sincerely hope Jerry is OK. When I looked over he was hunched over convulsing in his seat and collapsed, then multiple ppl carried him out
The show must go on, but crowd absolutely concerned with Lawler and not much into the show right now.
I’m told that CPR has been administered to Jerry Lawler backstage by EMT staff.
At this point it does not appear that this is a part of a storyline injury, and we hope all is well with the King.
