Following Monday’s edition of WWE RAW in Baltimore, Maryland, new matches were announced for the first red brand exclusive pay-per-view event, WWE Clash Of Champions.
While Kevin Owens managed to avoid the addition of Roman Reigns to his WWE Universal Title defense against Seth Rollins at the pay-per-view thanks to another unexpected assist, this time from WWE United States Champion Rusev, a couple of other matches were made official on Monday night.
RAW Women’s Champion Charlotte will defend her title against the woman she won it from at the SummerSlam pay-per-view last month, Sasha Banks, while RAW Tag-Team Champions The New Day will look to continue their lengthy reign as the kings of the duo division when they defend their titles against The Club — Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.
Finally, a singles match between WWE veteran Chris Jericho and former NXT Champion Sami Zayn was also added to the Clash Of Champions show.
While not confirmed, based on the angle at RAW last night and their recent history with each other, one would assume a match between WWE U.S. Champion Rusev and Roman Reigns — likely for “The Bulgarian Brute’s” title — will also end up on the show.
RAW presents their brand-exclusive WWE Clash Of Champions pay-per-view on Sunday, September 25th in Indianapolis, Indiana.
