Tottenham Hotspur have teased supporters with a glimpse into their delayed new stadium.
The club released a video titled ‘Phantoms of London’, showing Spurs Ladies star Ronnell Humes walking through Enfield with team-mates and charting her journey into football as she makes her way into the new White Hart Lane.
Nike are celebrating the launch of the new PhantomVNM boot, which Humes is seen lacing up, as her and team-mates are seen playing at the state-of-the-art arena.
The short film showcases Humes’ striking power and skill and following her kick-about, she is joined on the field by Spurs’ talisman and fellow PhantomVNM boot wearer Harry Kane.
Speaking to football boot page Soccerbible, Humes spoke about the feeling of being int the new stadium.
“I didn’t ever imagine walking out at the new stadium like that, I was just speechless,” she said.
“It was amazing to just be there, to play in the spotlight and feel the atmosphere.
“As a striker and Tottenham Hotspur player, Harry is a real inspiration to me so it was incredible to walk out into the new stadium alongside him and know we’re wearing the same boots.”
Nike’s latest boot release, which launched this week, will be worn by the likes of Marcus Rashford and Robert Lewandowski.
Earlier this week it was confirmed by Tottenham that at least four more fixtures will take place at their temporary Wembley home, up to and including their Champions League round of 16 first leg clash against Borussia Dortmund on February 13.
