Additionally, 81 percent said healthcare is either an “extremely important” or “very important” issue in the upcoming June 20 special election. Fourteen percent said it is a “somewhat important” issue and 5 percent said it was “less important.”

The results of the survey come with the district about a week away from going to the polls for the special election that has drawn both funds and attention throughout the country.

Republicans in the Senate have said a vote on the legislation could come in July.

Abt Associates conducted the poll from June 5 to June 8, surveying 1,000 registered voters. It has a margin of error of 4 percentage points.
