Throughout the months-long healthcare battle, Republican members of Congress have been criticized for attempting to take from the poor and vulnerable insurance they, themselves, take for granted.

This hypocrisy has prompted both parody and, in one case, legislation.

As the Southeast Patch reported, New York Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney recently introduced a “Do Unto Others” bill that would force some members of Congress to “buy the plans with less coverage or higher costs” they are peddling to their constituents in an attempt to highlight the immoral core of Trumpcare.

“What’s good for the goose is good for the gander,” Maloney said in a statement. “Members of Congress who vote for a garbage healthcare bill shouldn’t get to keep their special access to Obamacare while they stick their constituents with more expensive plans that cover less.”
