– As previously reported, NXT Superstar Austin Aries is set to undergo surgery to repair a large orbital fracture and will be out of action until the first quarter of 2017 some time. Aries suffered the injury taking a kick from NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura last Thursday in California. PWInsider reports that Aries will be undergoing surgery on Thursday of this week.
– Thanks to James Ellsworth, Dean Ambrose earned the right to challenge for the WWE World Title by defeating champion AJ Styles in a non-title match tonight on SmackDown.
