Brock Lesnar was supposed to face Rollins at the event, but it seems that if Lesnar does return to UFC as rumored, that would lend some validation to a possible Angle/Rollins match this November. However, the belief is that this Angle vs. Rollins match also won’t be happening anytime soon either.
According to a new report from the Dirty Sheets Podcast, WWE actually has no plans for Kurt Angle to wrestle at all. The company reportedly sees Angle as a strictly on-screen character and not an active performer anymore. WWE considers Kurt Angle to be retired from in-ring competition, especially since WWE typically doesn’t like to have matches involving individuals who have already gone into the WWE Hall of Fame. The podcast confirmed reports that Angle has not taken a physical examination since returning to WWE, and the belief is that Jason Jordan will be acting as the wrestler while Angle acts as his manager/father figure.
