WWE Issues Statement About Last Night, More From RAW

Posted on August 1, 2020

During last night’s Monday Night RAW segment with Miz TV with guests, Lavar Ball, and his two kids Lonzo and LaMelo, the 15-year-old Lemelo was heard to have used the “N-word” during the moment when his father and Miz were about to square off. The Los Angeles Times wrote an article and reached out to the WWE about the language and in response, the WWE issued a statement saying:
“The inappropriate language used by a guest during the ‘Miz TV’ segment was not scripted nor reflects WWE’s values “.
The article can be found here: http://www.latimes.com/sports/lakers/la-sp-lavar-ball-lonzo-lamelo-wwe-raw-20170626-story.html.

The WWE has been rated PG now for over 10 years in an effort to market to a wider audience, despite the negative feedback from a portion of the audience.
The segment, which was very bizarre also featured a very bored looking Lemelo tapping out a beat using the microphone at one point and Lamar himself being nearly indecipherable at times. The story was Miz was trying to merge his “brand” with LaVar’s 3 Ball Brand he uses to market his sons.
After the tapings went off the air, Seth Rollins defeated Bray Wyatt in a dark match that was described as “nothing special” by some of those in attendance.
