The show starts with a video package recapping Cedric Alexander becoming the number one contender for Enzo Amore’s Cruiserweight Championship.
Vic Joseph and Nigel McGuinness welcomes us to the show as they preview Hideo Itami’s debut and a rematch between Cedric Alexander and Drew Gulak for later on tonight.
As The Brian Kendrick & Jack Gallagher makes their way down to the ring, Kendrick gets on the mic and says that he was surprised to see Metalik out here and had no problem with him until he stuck his nose in their business. Gallagher then says that he hopes it’s worth it to Metalik to help out his little friend.
Kalisto & Gran Metalik vs. The Brian Kendrick & Jack Gallagher: Kalisto and Kendrick starts the match with plenty of back and forth kicks and punches. Kendrick backs Kalisto into the corner and hammers away with some big chops. Kalisto hits a nice hurricanrana and brings in Metalik who heads right to the top rope. Metalik walks the ropes and hits a crossbody. Gallagher tags in, but Metalik kicks Kendrick to the face. Metalik sends both Kendrick and Gallagher to the outside. Both Kalisto and Metalik flip to the floor, taking out their opponents. Back in the ring, Metalik gets put into the tree of woe by Gallagher, and gets dropkicked to his knee. Gallagher starts to focus on Metalik’s knee.
Kendrick gets into the match and continues the dominance, and tags Gallagher back in. Gallagher knocks Kalisto off the apron and goes back to work on Metalik’s left knee. Gallagher mocks Kalisto by doing an Eddie Guerrero shoulder shake. Metalik continues to stay in the wrong side of town as he is put up on the top rope and Kendrick wrenches his knee on the ropes. Kendrick heads up, but Metalik fights him and Gallagher off. Metalik hits a variation of a sling-blade. Metalik tries to crawl away, but Gallagher stops him momentarily until Kalisto gets the tag. Kalisto clears out both guys, he kicks Gallagher, and hits a hurricanrana to the mat. Kalisto looks for the Salida del Sol, but instead hits a dragon roll on Gallagher. Kalisto then hits the Salida del Sol and goes for the pin, but Kendrick breaks it up just before the three count. Kendrick stomps away at Kalisto over and over until the referee decides to call this one. Winners via DQ: Kalisto and Gran Metalik
After the match, Kalisto gets a head-butt and is sent straight into the ring post. Metalik rolls to the floor and Gallagher punches him in the head a few times as they adjust the steel steps for some carnage. They put Metalik’s leg between the steps and the ring. Kendrick hits a low drop kick and Metalik yells in pain as they end the segment.
We head backstage to the locker room area where we see a meeting with what’s left of The Zo Train. Enzo says that tonight was supposed to be a celebration, but now he has to lay into Drew and Ariya Daivari for letting Cedric win last night and to set them straight. Gulak promises that he will annihilate Alexander tonight.
We head back to ring-side for the next match.
Hideo Itami vs. Colin Delaney: Huge kicks by Itami to start off the match and he yells “Respect me!”. Itami gets sent to the corner and gets kicked. Itami hits a clothesline off the top rope. Itami then hits multiple chops to drop his opponent. Itami hits a running dropkick to Delaney in the corner. Itami hits a GTS and that will do it. Winner: Hideo Itami
We get a video package recapping the events from last week where Enzo said he had to teach Tony Nese a lesson after being ungrateful to him. He had the entire Zo Train at ringside for their match. During their match Daivari jumps in and attacks Nese from behind, Enzo forces Gulak to beat up Nese to prove his worth to the group.
We head backstage where Dasha Fuentes interviews Enzo and asks him about Nese. Enzo starts to get going, but Alexander comes along to chuckle at Enzo. Enzo calls him a “second chance,” but Alexander responds to Enzo by telling him that he should try fighting his battles without the Zo Train and that there is only one word that describes him and he heads out. Enzo finishes the line by saying, “Yeah…Champion.”
Before the main event of the night, Drew Gulak and Enzo Amore are out first. Gulak gets on the mic and says that there is no time for a Powerpoint Presentation tonight, because it is time for action. He says that he is going to take out Alexander and prove to his mentor that he means it when he says no one messes with The Zo Train.
Drew Gulak (with Enzo Amore) vs. Cedric Alexander: As the match gets started, Gulak seems extra fired up for this one as he goes right at Alexander. The two end up in the ropes, Alexander breaks away and gives a shove, telling Gulak to “come on!” We get another rope break again. Alexander with another shove to Gulak, but Gulak kicks Alexander to the stomach. Alexander fires back, but Gulak hits a big palm strike that drops Alexander. Stiff shots from both of these guys.
Enzo is on the outside, as he is encouraging Gulak. Enzo tells Gulak to snap Alexander’s ankle. More palm strikes from Gulak, but Alexander retaliates with a hurricanrana and some hard kicks. Alexander gets sent to the ropes, then Gulak hits a bunch of hard punches and chops as the referee barks at him. Alexander ends up falling to the floor. Action is now out on the floor. Gulak tosses his opponent into the ring post with Enzo yelling, “That’s what I’m talking about!” Alexander gets tossed back into the ring and he totally looks out of it. Gulak goes for a pin, but only a two count. Alexander finally gets back into this and sends Gulak to the outside. Alexander hits a flip over the top and holds on to the ropes. Alexander ends up booting Gulak in the face as Enzo looks on in fear. Gulak gets sent back in the ring and Alexander hits a springboard clothesline and goes for the pin, but only a two count.
Alexander tries for a lumbar check, but gets countered and Gulak goes for the pin, but only a two count. Gulak tries again, but again a two count. Gulak hits a discuss clothesline and goes for a pin, but only a two count. Enzo is trying to pump up Gulak. Gulak stares at Alexander with ill intent and sends him to the apron. Alexander hits a leaping flatliner and goes for a pin, but only a two count. Alexander locks in an Ankle lock in the middle of the ring, but Gulak pulls off a reverse single-leg boston crab and somehow Alexander wriggles his way to reach the ropes. Both men end up on the second rope, but Alexander gets knocked off. Gulak is thinking about flying off the top rope, but he is nervous. The delay gets Alexander to hit a lumbar check on him. Alexander goes for a pin and he gets the 1-2-3. Winner: Cedric Alexander
After the match, Enzo stares at Alexander, who smiles back at him. Enzo jumps up on the apron, but Daivari tries to sneak in from behind and gets a lumbar check for his troubles. The Zo Train retreats to end the show.
