There was a violent altercation that took place in mid-February but news of the altercation only came to light this week and it involves former WWE Superstar Brian Christopher and former TNA star Chase Stevens. You probably would know Christopher as the son of Jerry “The King” Lawler and Stevens as one-half of The Naturals tag team during the early years of TNA.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has details on the severity of the injuries. Christopher was beaten up so bad that he suffered a fractured skull, broken nose, broken orbital bone and he had teeth knocked out. He was rushed to the hospital when police arrived and things were so bad that Rikishi was asking for prayers on Facebook.
According to the police report, Lawler was intoxicated when they arrived on the scene and they found him in the hotel lobby. The police report states that the fight took place on February 18 at the Fairfield Inn in Evansville, IN in Room 318 just after 4 am.
Stevens, a former Golden Gloves boxing champion, was arrested and charged with battery. There was a Go Fund Me set up by Lawler’s manager to help cover the medical costs and the claim was that he was banged up from an accident at home. We know now that the injuries are from the altercation with Stevens. The Go Fund Me account was later deleted, perhaps, because the news was getting out about the true circumstances surrounding his injuries. A photo of Christopher was sent to WrestlingInc.
