For weeks, Chris Jericho has been saying publicly that he was done with New Japan Pro Wrestling. However, as is usual with Jericho, he is not going to spoil a surprise and he tries his best to kayfabe fans so you can never be sure if he is being honest or working when he makes statements about his wrestling future.
PWInsider is reporting that Jericho is expected to appear at next week’s Wrestling Dontaku event in Fukuoka, Japan. He will be there for an angle that will lead to his return to the ring at NJPW’s Dominion show in Osaka next month. The last time fans saw Jericho, he got into a heated angle with Tetsuya Naito so he would likely be the next opponent.
When asked about his future with NJPW, he had hinted that there was a money issue. Obviously, that is not the case because he is due back next week. It’s worth noting that NJPW will be returning to the United States in July at the Cow Palace in San Francisco so I would not be shocked if he was booked for that show as well.
