Ronda Rousey will be returning to the ring at next month’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view. Fans were surprised to learn that the former MMA star will be facing Nia Jax for the Raw Women’s Championship in only the second professional wrestling match of her career. WrestleVotes has learned a few details on why the company may have chosen to announce this match. The company simply did not want to have Rousey miss another pay-per-view but felt that she is not ready to compete in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match yet. As a result of WWE’s decision, Ronda Rousey could now end up being crowned Raw Women’s Champion within just a matter of weeks.
Asked about the Ronda Rousey v Nia Jax rumors happening at MITB & not SummerSlam… Was told, “if they are true, it’s because they can’t ignore Rousey for another PPV, don’t want her in the ladder match, & can’t have her lose a qualifying match so they had no choice.”

When Big Cass returned to Smackdown during the Superstar Shakeup, it was clear that WWE had big plans for the young wrestler. Cass faced Daniel Bryan at Backlash but ended up tapping out to the Yes Lock before disappearing from Smackdown altogether. Pro Wrestling Sheet later reported that Cass received backstage heat after going against a company order, and while there is definitely some truth to that, Cageside Seats is claiming that Big Cass won’t be hindered too much by the company. The feud between Cass and Bryan is still set to continue on for a while since the company does not want to immediately rush into doing a program between Daniel Bryan and The Miz.
It was quite a thrill to see Braun Strowman emerge as the winner of the first 50-man Royal Rumble match at the Greatest Royal Rumble show in Saudi Arabia last month. Strowman was given a trophy and a custom championship for winning the match. On last night’s edition of Raw, Strowman teamed up with Finn Balor to face the team of Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler. The huge trophy that Strowman won was present at ringside during the match, but Strowman accidentally destroyed it. Strowman gave a running tackle outside of the ring to Drew McIntyre, which sadly ended up causing the demise of the trophy that Strowman won in Saudi Arabia. Check out the video below to see when it all happened:
