Goergen charted a 4-0 record at the 2015 NWCA National Duals on Jan. 9-10 in Fort Wayne, Ind. Goergen helped guide the Huskies to a third place finish, which included a 25-13 win over Fort Hays State, a 22-17 win over No. 4 Ouachita Baptist and a 26-6 win over No. 17 Upper Iowa in the third place bout.

Goergen opened the tournament with a 11-3 major decision over #6 Jack Page of Fort Hays State. He continue his winning ways with a 2:34 fall against Blake Andrews of Ouachita Baptist that proved to be the winning points for the Huskies. Goergen then carded a big 4-2 win over #3 ranked Donnell Walker of Maryville. He ended his perfect weekend with a 5-4 victory over Upper Iowa’s #7 Logan Hopp.

On the season, Goergen is now 22-1 and he has 13 falls to his credit in 2014-15. This marks the second time this season Goergen has been named NSIC Wrestler of the Week (12/8/14). He was ranked fourth in the nation at 285-pounds in the latest NCAA Division II national polls.

The #7 St. Cloud State Huskies will continue their season on Jan. 17 with a trip to the annual UW-Parkside Ranger Duals tournament in Kenosha, Wisc.
