King Cuerno Files Dispute, Pillman Panel at Starrcast, AEW Tease

Lucha Underground competitor King Cuerno is officially filing a dispute against the show. According to a new report from Pro Wrestling Sheet, the Luchador is pursuing legal action against Baba-G Productions and the El Rey Network for matters related to his contract. Baba-G is the production studio that produces Lucha Underground. Cuerno alleges that he has lost out on opportunities and money because Lucha Underground has him locked into his contract. Cuerno’s attorney then told Lucha Central that Ivelisse, Joey Ryan, and Kobra Moon are also part of a new lawsuit against Lucha Underground. Each of these wrestlers have openly vented their frustrations over Lucha Underground refusing to let them out of their deals. Full statements from Cuerno’s attorney can be read here.
Prior to the Double or Nothing event from All Elite Wrestling in May, Starrcast will be returning in Las Vegas, Nevada. Several big guests and events planned for Starrcast have been announced already, but Conrad Thompson just revealed to WrestleZone’s Kevin Kellam that there will be a special panel discussing the life and career of Brian Pillman. Not much regarding exact details on the matter were revealed, but fans can look forward to seeing the panel during Starrcast later this year. In addition to the panel, Bret Hart, Eric Bischoff, Bruce Prichard, Sting, Tony Schiavone, and Sean Mooney have will appear at the convention. More names and events planned for Starrcast will be unveiled over the next few weeks.
Another day, another huge tease from All Elite Wrestling. The promotion has been teasing news regarding their Double or Nothing event all week long, and details are expected to be confirmed during the promotion’s rally in Las Vegas tomorrow. One additional tease that AEW has just posted concerns Cody Rhodes’ opponent for Double or Nothing. On the latest episode of Cody’s Road to Double or Nothing series on YouTube, AEW coordinator Michael Cuellari told Cody that a mystery person had called him again. The person in question was not revealed, but Cody mentioned that the call was “personal.” Perhaps Cody’s opponent for Double or Nothing will be confirmed during tomorrow’s rally.
