Former UFC Champion Claims Brock Lesnar “Cannot Fight For Title”

Posted on July 5, 2020
One of The Greatest UFC Fighters Of All Time & Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior “Cigano” Dos Santos recently picked up his third consecutive win this past Saturday night with a second round finish over Derrick Lewis in the main event of UFC Fight Night 146.
Dos Santos believes that he is next in line for an opportunity at The UFC Heavyweight Title, but with rumors of a potential UFC Heavyweight Title Bout between Daniel Cormier & Brock Lesnar, “Cigano” would give his thoughts on Lesnar, who is also a Former UFC Heavyweight Champion. “For sure not Brock Lesnar (next for Cormier),” dos Santos said during the post-fight press conference. “He’s not even part of the sport right now. He cannot come back and fight for the title. It doesn’t make sense.”
Dos Santos moved into the second spot of The Top 10 UFC Heavyweight Fighters today with his recent victory over Derrick Lewis. He would also tie Cain Velasquez with a total of 10 finishes in The Heavyweight Division. Dos Santos & Lewis would share “Fight Of The Night” honors due to their recent bout.
As for Brock Lesnar, he has not been in an Octagon since UFC 200 in 2016 when he defeated Mark Hunt. That result of the bout was later changed to a no-contest after it was revealed that Lesnar failed a drug test. Lesnar’s last official victory would come in 2010 when he submitted Shane Carwin to defend his UFC Heavyweight Title.
