Kazakh team won their first match mostly thanks to less amount of errors. Good scorer was outside hitter Sana Jarlagassova. On Cuban side again leading hitter was opposite Melissa Vargas with support of middle blockers: Alena Rojas and Rosana Giel.

“We knew we had to win this game. It’s very important. We had a lot of difficulties in the beginning of the game. We were able to do what needed to do in the game and things started to happen and we won” said Brazilian leader, outside hitter Fernanda Garay with 17 points. Till first technical time out Brazilian had some problems with Dutch spikers, but later took over the lead and won set 25-15. In second set smartly spiked Dutch outside hitter Anne Buijs and opposite Manon Flier, however it wasn’t enough because of mistakes committed by her teammates. In last set because of collapse in Dutch defense, Brazil easily won match.
