Marcelo could join Ronaldo at Juve


Marcelo could leave Real Madrid to join Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus, Corriere della Sera claims.

The Italian outlet states that the players’ agent, Jorge Mendes, is pushing to seal a deal for the Brazilian full-back, although also state that Juve have denied interest.

If a deal is to be struck, however, the 30-year-old would cost between €40-€60 million (£35-53m/$46-$70m), a similar amount that the Old Lady would receive from the sale of Alex Sandro, if he is sold.

Hazard is Barcelona’s top target


Eden Hazard is Barcelona’s primary transfer target this summer, according to Sport .

Barcelona have already landed Barcelona have signed Arthur Melo, but failed to sign Antoine Griezmann and saw Paulinho return to China while Andres Iniesta left for Japan. 

Now the club will turn to the Chelsea star to help fill the void as the Catalans look to return to the top of European football. 


Chelsea pay £9 million to move on from Conte


Antonio Conte is set for a lucrative parting of ways with Chelsea after two seasons in charge, with Maurizio Sarri waiting in the wings as the next Blues boss. 

Goal understands that Chelsea and Conte have now agreed a £9 million ($12m) severance package to remove him from first-team coaching duties as they begin their summer overhaul.

Barcelona have announced the signing of Clement Lenglet from Sevilla.

The Frenchman has signed a five-year contract at Camp Nou, with Barca having paid his €35 million (£31m/$41m) release clause.

Chelsea believe Sarri will convince stars to stay


Chelsea believe the change to Maurizio Sarri at manager will allow them to keep key players Willian, Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois, reports the Sun.

Antonio Conte is on his way out, having agreed to a severance package with the club, with Sarri set to be named first-team head coach in his stead.

The Blues believe Sarri can help mend the dressing room after many senior players grew tired of Conte’s personality.


Barca target PSG’s Rabiot


Barcelona are hoping to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot and have traveled to France to discuss a move, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Rabiot’s contract expires in 2019, and is believed to be open to a move to Barcelona, which he believes can further his career.

Barca are being cautious with the talks however, in hopes of not alienating PSG in the same way they did last year with Marco Verratti, which blocked a move for the Italy international.


Juve plan defensive overhaul


Juventus’ defensive wishlist includes Atletico Madrid’s Diego Godin, Stefan Savic, Arsenal’s Shkodran Mustafi and Bayern Munich’s Juan Bernat, Tuttosport reports.

With Daniele Rugani on the way out and the futures of Medhi Benatia and Alex Sandro up in the air, the Old Lady are are said to be looking at several different ways to refurbish their backline.


Merino departs Newcastle in £10m Real Sociedad move


Mikel Merino has left Newcastle United for Real Sociedad in a reported £10million (€12m/$13.2m) move after just one season at St James’ Park, the club have confirmed.

The midfielder arrived on loan from Borussia Dortmund ahead of the 2017-18 campaign, before the Magpies exercised a clause to make the move permanent on a five-year deal in October.

Sporting demand Rui Patricio compensation


FIFA has confirmed an investigation is underway after Sporting CP complained about Rui Patricio’s transfer to Premier League new boys Wolves.

The Portugal international signed a four-year deal at Molineux last month after terminating his Sporting contract in the aftermath of an attack by a section of the club’s supporters following their failure to qualify for the Champions League.

Sporting, who have opened legal proceedings against Patricio and six other players, remain angry at the free transfer and have written to FIFA to demand €58.7 million (£51.8m/$65.5m) compensation.

Juve to make Higuain available


Juventus are ready to offload Gonzalo Higuain after signing Cristiano Ronaldo, reports CalcioMercato , boosting Chelsea’s transfer hopes.

The Argentine will cost around €55 million (£49m/$64m) should the Blues decide to move for him. 


Fulham complete Seri signing


Fulham have confirmed that they have won the race to sign Jean Michael Seri from Nice.

The midfielder had hoped to make a move to Napoli, but, instead, the London side have succeeded in capturing a player who had courted interest from both Arsenal and Chelsea previously.

The youngster has yet to sign fresh terms with the Reds and wants assurances over his playing time before making a decision. 


Kenedy returns to Newcastle


Newcastle have completed a deal to take left-sided midfielder Kenedy on loan from Chelsea for the duration of the season.

The Stamford Bridge club have confirmed that Brazilian will head to St James’ Park once more after being a hit there in the second half of last term.

Nabil Fekir has an agreement with Lyon to reopen Liverpool talks after World Cup ends, according to the Mirror . 

The 21-year-old wants a move pushed through, but Liverpool will not return to talks unless the terms of the deal have changed since their last talks. 


SKC chasing striker as summer window opens


Sporting Kansas City are chasing a striker now that the summer transfer window has opened, with head coach Peter Vermes telling the Kansas City Star that the club had multiple offers out for a centre-forward. 

Despite the chase, no deal seem imminent for the club. 


Hammers pulling back from Yaya Toure


West Ham have held talks with Manchester City legend Yaya Toure but have been reluctant to offer him a Premier League job, according to The Sun . 

The 35-year-old was a target for the Hammers after his contract ran out this summer, but the club are now unlikely to offer the midfielder a deal. 


RB Leipzig closing in on USMNT star


U.S. national team star Tyler Adams is on the verge of a move to Bundesliga side RB Leipzig, MLSsoccer.com reports.

The report claims that Adams will most likely remain with the New York Red Bulls for the remainder of the season before making his move to Europe. 


Ronaldo joins Juventus


Cristiano Ronaldo has completed a sensational move from Real Madrid to Juventus. 

Ronaldo will join the Serie A champions in a deal worth €100 million (£88m/$117m).

The 33-year-old leaves Madrid as one of the club’s all-time greats, scoring an incredible 451 goals in 438 games with the Blancos.

Madrid eye big-name Ronaldo replacements


Real Madrid are targeting Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Eden Hazard as potential replacements for Cristiano Ronaldo, according to Sports Illustrated.

The European champions lost Ronaldo to Juventus in a deal worth at least €100 million (£88m/$117m)  on Tuesday, leaving a massive hole in their attack.

Madrid are hoping that either Neymar or Mbappe will demand a move away from Paris Saint-Germain, forcing the Ligue 1 champions to sell.
