Arsenal are weighing up a move for Braga striker Francisco Trincao, according to reports.
The 19-year-old, who predominantly plays as a winger or a second striker, has featured mainly for Braga’s B team this season and has caught the eye of Emirates talent-spotters.
According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web, Gunners scouts have “twice watched” the forward and have been impressed with his displays.
Trincao has played just four minutes with the senior team this season but has been been a regular in Braga’s B team of late, making seven appearances in Portugal’s second division.
He has also shown excellent form for Portugal’s Under-19’s, scoring seven goals in 13 appearances for the juniors.
Unai Emery has made it clear that he does not believe any signings will be made this month, but with Trincao so young and available for a relatively cheap fee, the board could be persuaded to add to their attacking ranks.
However, the Spaniard will face competition for his signature as Italian champions Juventus are reportedly keen on the teenager too.
