Leeds United are set to complete the signing of teenager Mateuz Bogusz from Polish third division side Ruch Chorzow.
The club announced they had received an official offer for the 17-year-old on Tuesday morning.
The statement read: “The purchase offer of Mateusz Bogusz submitted by Leeds United F.C. We are waiting for the draft transfer agreement.”
Bogusz is seen as an up-and-coming star of Polish football and will be a useful outlet for Marcelo Bielsa due to his versatility in the middle of the pitch.
Known for his technical ability on the ball, Bogusz can as he be used as a No.10, a traditional central midfielder or even a deep-lying midfielder.
The youngster made his way through the ranks of Ruch Chorzow last season, making his senior debut as a 16-year-old when they were in the second division. He went on to tally up 13 appearances but was powerless to prevent his side from being relegated.
This campaign has seen Bogusz become a first-team regular and he has been impressive for his side, netting five goals and an assist in 19 appearances.
Brighton were also keen on signing the footballing prodigy but the Championship table-toppers have moved quickly to secure his signature.
