Diogo Jota scored a hat-trick on Saturday to become the first Wolves player to bag three in a top-flight match since 1977.
But who was the last player to take the match ball home for your club in a Premier League or First Division game?
Check out our findings below…
Arsenal
Aaron Ramsey was the last Gunners player to take home the match ball
The Welshman, who will soon be playing his football for Juventus, netted three in a 5-1 home victory against Everton in February 2018 under Arsene Wenger.
Bournemouth
Callum Wilson was the last Cherries player to bag a hat-trick for the south coast outfit.
The forward netted three as his side hammered Huddersfield 4-0 in November 2017.
Brighton
The last player to score three in a top-flight game for the Seagulls was Gordon Smith almost 40 years ago.
The Scotsman, who was signed for Brighton for a then club record fee of £350,00 from Rangers, proved his worth when he netted a hat-trick against Coventry in October 1980.
Burnley
Andre Gray was the last Claret to take home the match ball.
The current Watford marksman bagged a hat-trick in a 4-1 win against Sunderland in December 2016.
Cardiff
Unfortunately for the Bluebirds, no player has ever scored a hat-trick in England’s top flight for the club.
However, it is hardly surprising as this season is only their second time featuring in the top division.
Chelsea
There are no surprises that the Blues’ last hat-trick came from their star man Eden Hazard.
It came against Cardiff City in September 2018 in their 4-1 win at Stamford Bridge.
Crystal Palace
Yannick Bolasie was the last to score three for the Eagles in a 4-1 win against Sunderland in April 2015.
The Congo winger has just returned to Everton after he cancelled his loan deal at Aston Villa in the Championship.
Everton
The Premier League’s second top scorer in history, Wayne Rooney, is the last player to score three for the Toffees.
The veteran striker netted a hat-trick in a 4-0 win against West Ham last term, and scored one of the goals of the season in the game too.
Fulham
The last Cottager to score three was Pavel Pogrebnyak back in March 2012.
The Russian striker was lethal in a 5-0 Fulham victory against Wolves.
Huddersfield
No player has ever scored a top flight hat-trick for the Terriers.
And it doesn’t look likely either as they struggle at the bottom of the Premier League.
Leicester
Unsurprisingly, Jamie Vardy was the last to score a hat-trick for the Foxes back in December 2016.
Leicester’s talisman netted three against Manchester City at the King Power Stadium.
Liverpool
Roberto Firmino scored a hat-trick for the Reds as recently as a month ago when Liverpool dismantled Arsenal 5-1 at Anfield.
It was the second hat-trick in December for Jurgen Klopp’s men as Mohamed Salah scored three a couple of weeks before.
Manchester City
Sergio Aguero was the last to score three in a game for the champions when he netted his ninth hat-trick back in August.
He scored three against Huddersfield as Pep Guardiola’s side hammered the Terriers 6-1 at home.
Manchester United
Robin van Persie was the last to score three for the Red Devils when he sealed his side’s Premier League title in a 3-0 win against Aston Villa.
He netted all of the goals in the game and won the Golden Boot that season.
Newcastle
It is more than three years since the last Newcastle player scored a hat-trick in a Premier League game.
Georginio Wijanldum, who is now at Liverpool, actually scored four times as the Magpies thrashed Norwich City 6-2 at St James’ Park in October 2015.
Southampton
Liverpool’s current star Sadio Mane was the last Saints player to net three goals in a top flight game.
The Senegal international bagged a hat-trick in a 4-2 win against Manchester City in May 2015.
Tottenham
Harry Kane was the last to score a hat-trick for Spurs in a 5-2 win against Southampton in December 2017.
But the three he scored came over a year ago and with his recent injury this season he faces a hard task to score another this season.
Watford
The last to score three for the Hornets came just under 35 years ago when Mark Falco scored three against Aston Villa in October 1986.
Surely one player will break the near 40 year curse under Javi Gracia and his high-flying side?
West Ham
Andy Carroll was the last player to score three for the Hammers.
The tall striker bagged three as West Ham drew 3-3 with Arsenal in a six goal thriller at Upton Park in April 2016.
Wolves
As already mentioned, Jota netted three for the Premier League newcomers this weekend.
But under Nuno Espirito Santo this season, you wouldn’t bet against another player to score three for Wanderers in the 15 matches remaining.
