Everton are still waiting to make their first signing of the January transfer window.
Bringing in a striker is their top priority after letting Oumar Niasse join Cardiff City on loan, especially as Cenk Tosun may also leave Goodison Park before the end of the month.
Marco Silva hopes to get deals over the line in the final two weeks of the window, but who could the Toffees sign? talkSPORT.com rounds up some of the biggest Everton transfer gossip below…
€30m bid made for Chelsea striker
Michy Batshuayi has been linked with a move to Everton after his loan at Valencia was cut short.
The Belgium forward is reportedly ‘desperate’ to join Ligue 1 club Monaco on loan, but Everton want to hijack the deal.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Toffees ‘have offered €30million’ for Batshuayi, as Everton can only sign him on a permanent basis as they already have one player, Kurt Zouma, on loan from Chelsea.
Toffees look at Championship star
Everton are also reportedly interested in signing Hull City star Jarrod Bowen.
Football.London claims Silva is an admirer of Bowen, who has scored 13 goals in 27 games this season.
Tigers vice-chairman Ehab Allam has insisted that none of the club’s key players are for sale this month.
But a huge bid coupled with Bowen’s desire to play Premier League football could change their stance.
Lozano and Wilson linked
Everton remain interested in Hirving Lozano and have started monitoring Callum Wilson, the Bournemouth and England star.
Lozano, who plays for PSV Eindhoven, has been linked with the Toffees for over a year, but the Merseyside outfit refused to pay his asking price last summer.
However, they are believed to remain keen on the Mexico forward, according to journalist Paul Brown.
Wilson has also emerged as target of Marco Silva’s, per the same source, but the 26-year-old striker is also wanted by Chelsea, West Ham and Tottenham.
Dzeko doesn’t want to leave Roma
The former Manchester City striker was linked with a move to Goodison Park earlier this month, but the chances of Everton signing him appear to have fallen.
Corriere dello Sport say the 32-year-old ‘doesn’t seem interested’ in leaving Roma, with a return to the Premier League not something he is ready to consider.
Dzeko has also been linked with Everton’s Premier League rivals Tottenham and West Ham.
Inter midfielder a target
Roberto Gagliardini is a reported target of Everton’s, with Inter already receiving a £22million offer for the midfielder.
Inter Live claim the 24-year-old, who has been capped six times by Italy, is also wanted by West Ham – and the submitted bid came either from the Toffees of the London Stadium club.
Gagliardini could be a replacement for Idrissa Gueye, who has been linked with a January move to Paris Saint-Germain.
