For 1-year-old Muhammadjon Hakimov from Uzbekistan, coming to India was literally meant getting his voice back. Suffering from wrong medical treatment in his country, Hakimov came to India in a critical condition and now he got his voice back courtesy a life saving surgery carried out by the doctors.

Hakimov was diagnosed with ‘Laryngeal web formation’ which is a rare anomaly found in 1 in 10,000 births. In this condition, the child’s larynx contains a layer of web-like tissue which partially obstructs windpipe cause frequent shortness of breath and other symptoms.
