Ever since internet restrictions were imposed in Kashmir on August 5, Kashmiri students are facing a financial crunch in different parts of the country. In an applause-worthy move, Khalsa Aid and J&K Students Association, a body of Kashmiri Students, distributed stock, groceries and money among 300 Kashmiri students in Banur area of Punjab.
Spokesperson of Association, Nasir Khuehami said, “We, in collaboration with Khalsa Aid, are providing the Kashmiri students all necessary assistance. We distributed stock and food packets each containing around 5 kilograms of rice and 10kg flour along with sugar, cooking oil, salt and some basic spices among hundreds of students over past three days. We have also distributed essential commodities among the students.”
