Arsenal team news: Confirmed XI to face Chelsea as Mesut Ozil makes the bench and Aaron Ramsey starts

Posted on March 1, 2019

Arsenal will be desperate to cling onto their hopes of finishing in the top four when they welcome Chelsea to the Emirates on Saturday.

Pressure is already beginning to build on manager Unai Emery and defeat would see the Gunners fall nine points adrift of their opponents.

The game has been preceded by more unrest off the pitch for Arsenal, with reports their head of recruitment Sven Mislintat is set to follow Ivan Gazidis out of the club.

And their fortunes on the pitch haven’t been much better, with just one victory in their last four Premier League games.

You can listen to live commentary from the Emirates on talkSPORT, kick-off 5.30pm.

Arsenal team news

Mesut Ozil has been restored to the matchday squad, but he still only makes the bench while Aaron Ramsey gets a rare start.

The Gunners have no fresh injury concerns heading into the game with Rob Holding, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Danny Welbeck still missing.

Arsenal XI: Leno, Bellerin, Papastathopoulos, Koscielny, Kolasinac, Torreira, Xhaka, Guendouzi, Ramsey, Lacazette, Aubameyang.

Subs: Cech, Elneny, Ozil, Maitland-Niles, Iwobi, Monreal, Mustafi.
