Stephan El Shaarawy scored Roma’s winner in a five-goal thriller against Torino on Saturday and toasted the victory 24 hours later in the most unlikely of places – the Masters snooker final.
The winger, 26, was among the crowd at Alexandra Palace in London who witnessed Judd Trump beat seven-time champion Ronnie O’Sullivan 10-4 to clinch his first-ever Masters title.
And speaking with BBC Sport, the former AC Milan man expressed his admiration for the sport, saying: “I love snooker.
“I watch it all the time. These two are my favourite players.”
El Shaarawy had flown to London with his brother and agent, Manuel, to take in the action.
El Shaarawy has grabbed six goals in 12 league appearances for Roma this season.
Roma’s 3-2 victory over Torino saw them move into the Champions League places in Serie A.
