This is not a drill: All eight Harry Potter movies will be in select IMAX theaters starting Thursday, Oct. 13, for one week only.
Thanks to today’s amazing technology, the first and second movies have been specially remastered for the IMAX screen and movies three through eight will also be shown in select IMAX theaters all over the world.
That’s right, you’ll be able to throw it way back to 2001 and rewatch Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint), and Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) battle Professor Quirrell (Ian Hart) for the Sorcerer’s Stone, take on the Basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets, fight off Dementors and save Sirius Black (Gary Oldman) from Azkaban prison, witness Harry’s name appear from the flames of the Goblet of Fire, join the fight to save the wizarding world with the Order of the Phoenix, learn secret spells from the Half-Blood Prince’s potions book, and finally discover the true meaning behind the Deathly Hallows and finish off Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) once and for all. (Phew, that’s a lot of action for just one week!)
