Aaron Ramsey is set to earn a massive £300,000-a-week pay packet once he completes his move from Arsenal to Juventus, according to reports.
It would make the 28-year-old midfielder the second highest paid British footballer of all time, with compatriot Gareth Bale earning more.
The Wales international is currently in the last six months of his Arsenal contract and, as of 1 January, he has been free to negotiate with other clubs in Europe.
Ramsey has already had a medical with the Serie A champions and now reports claim he has agreed a bumper contract, including a massive signing-on fee.
This has become something of a modern phenomenon – players running down their contracts, leaving for free, and getting a considerable injection into their wages.
The signing-on fee is designed to reflect the fact the fact the club do not have to pay a transfer fee and instead the money goes straight to the player.
Even still, Ramsey will still not be earning as much as Mesut Ozil at Arsenal, with the playmaker said to earn around £350,000-a-week.
