In case you didn’t know, people are planning to go to the moon!
Elon Musk, billionaire tech innovator and ex-boyfriend to Amber Heard, announced in February that his space technology company, SpaceX, will bring two humans to the moon in 2018. The two astronauts are set to travel in the Dragon2 (a spacecraft) and will takeoff from Kennedy Space Center. In other words: It’s happening.
On Wednesday, the mogul took to Instagram to offer the first glimpse of the space suits these brave women or men will wear.
“First picture of SpaceX space suit. More in days to follow,” he wrote as the caption to his ‘gram. “Worth [noting] that this actually works (not a mockup). Already tested to double vacuum pressure. Was [incredibly] hard to balance [aesthetics] and function. Easy to do either separately.”
So what to we think of the design? Honestly, it’s kind of fab. It looks very minimal, modern, and the all-white, leathery texture is the perfect complement to those black patches. The helmet? Chic! Honestly, it could have fit into Chanel’s space-inspired fall 2017 collection.

If you think about classic, traditional space suits, they’re usually oversize and somewhat puffy. This one gets an A-plus in our book.
