Oumar Niasse will leave Everton this month to join Cardiff City until the end of the season.
The striker has failed to break into the first team under new boss Marco Silva thus far.
And, according to Sky Sports, a deal has been agreed for the 28-year-old to join the Bluebirds.
Chief executive Ken Choo confirmed to Sky Sports News that the striker is expected in south Wales on Wednesday evening for a medical.
The Senegal international joined Everton from Lokomotiv Moscow in 2016 and has made 31 appearances, scoring eight goals.
The Bluebirds are one place above the relegation zone with 19 points from 22 games, scoring just 19 goals in the process.
Their next game is at fellow strugglers Newcastle on Saturday.
