Paul Pogba did not take part in Manchester United training on Wednesday morning, but Alexis Sanchez was able to join the session after missing Sunday’s defeat of Tottenham Hotspur.
Preparations are under way for Saturday’s Premier League match against Brighton, with United looking to make it seven wins in a row when they host the south coast club at Old Trafford.
However, star man Pogba was conspicuous by his absence as Ole Gunnar Solskaer’s men got to work at the club’s Aon Training Complex.
Sanchez was seen in the session, however, three days after missing the 1-0 win at Wembley with a minor issue.
Pogba’s fellow midfielder Nemanja Matic was also missing after his partner gave birth earlier in the week.
Chris Smalling has yet to return from a foot complaint that has kept him out since early December.
Giuseppe Rossi, the former Manchester United forward, was part of the Solskjaer’s group as he looks to build fitness and earn a move elsewhere.
The 31-year-old has been a free agent since leaving Genoa in the summer.
