Liverpool have had a £61million bid for Benfica starlet Joao Felix rejected, according to reports in Portugal.
The 19-year-old has been in excellent form since cementing a place in the Eagles’ first team, netting five goals and adding an assist in nine Premeira Liga matches.
According to Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha, Liverpool’s bid of £61million has been rejected by the club.
Felix recently signed an extended deal with the Lisbon outfit which has given him a £105m buyout clause.
The teenager is seen as an attractive asset to Klopp with his ability to play in any position across the front line.
However, the Reds boss faces stiff competition for his services.
The report states a whole host of top European clubs are circling on the youngster, including Manchester City, PSG, Barcelona and Monaco.
Felix also appeared on the front cover of another Portuguese paper, Record, earlier on Friday, who stated Manchester United are also monitoring his situation.
Portugal manager Fernando Santos is planning to call up the teenager to the national side.
