Tottenham have joined Liverpool in the race for Lyon playmaker Nabil Fekir, according to reports.
The Frenchman has remained a target for Jurgen Klopp even after Liverpool failed to sign him in the summer, but the German now has competition from his Premier League rivals.
Italian outlet CalcioMercato have suggested Mauricio Pochettino is ready to prise the World Cup winner away from Les Gones this month.
Fekir has been performing brilliantly for for the Ligue 1 side this season, netting seven goals and adding four assists in 18 appearances in total.
He is replicating the form enjoyed last season, where he recorded 23 goals and eight assists in 40 matches.
The 25-year-old has had well-documented injury problems and fitness issues, which are reportedly one of the reasons he didn’t complete his move to Anfield over the summer.
But with his Lyon contract expiring in 2020, the French side could be willing to cash in on the playmaker or else he will leave for free next summer.
Spurs are already dealing with a crisis of their own, with Harry Kane sidelined until March and Heung-Min Son off to the Asian Cup.
It would be a huge statement of intent from the north London side if they pull off this deal.
