Manchester United have beaten off competition to sign French wonderkid Noam Emeran.
Interest in the 16-year-old Amiens striker also came from Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus and reports in France claim the teenager will join his new club at the end of the month.
Emeran revealed his role models include United and France forward Anthony Martial, as well as Manchester City’s Leroy Sane.
“I chose Manchester United after discussing it with my family,” the France Under-17 international is quoted as saying.
“I think United were my best option from the offers I had to enable me to play at the top level.
“It is now down to me to put in the work needed to reach my targets and fulfil my dreams.
“I have plenty of role models – Anthony Martial, Leroy Sane and Neymar.”
United will pay around £90,000 for Emeran’s signature.
He previously played for Belgian club FC Brussels and French side Sannois-Saint-Gratien before joining Amiens in 2017.
Emeran’s dad Fritz is a former professional footballer, whose clubs include Gueugnon and Belgian outfits Mechelen and Genk.
