Former Arsenal striker Jose Antonio Reyes has joined Spanish second division strugglers Extremadura UD.
Reyes, 35, joined the Gunners from Sevilla back in January 2004 and played his part in them going unbeaten for the remainder of the season, winning the Premier League in the process.
The experienced forward has gone to represent Espanyol, Cordoba and Chinese side Xinjiang Tianshan Leopard.
Reyes’ new side will be hoping his arrival will give them a much-needed lift with Extremadura UD fourth from bottom in LaLiga 2.
Only last month it was reported that Reyes was in line to return to Arsenal to work as a coach under Unai Emery, whom he played under at Sevilla.
Reyes joined the Gunners in a deal worth up to £17m, but failed to settle in London and left two-and-a-half years later.
