L’Équipe report this morning that not a single offer has been made to AS Monaco for French teenage attacker Kylian Mbappé, contrary to reports emanating from Spain.
According to AS, a €110m offer from an unnamed English side had been rejected by the Principality side.
Monaco formally deny these claims:
“Monaco has not received a single offer from any club and in any case has no desire to sell Kylian.”
The club itself has been pushing the player to sign an extension, and after a tense period of relations between the player’s entourage and Monaco, things are beginning to normalise.
AS Monaco Vice President Vadim Vasilyev repeated the club’s intention to keep the player after the Champions’ League victory over Manchester City, but at one point do the Principality side feel that they have received an offer they can’t refuse. €150m? €200m?
At any rate, the tendency in this situation at the time of writing appears to be for the player to stay, but we are a long way off the summer window yet…
