RMC and Yahoo Sport report this morning that Valencia central defender Aymen Abdennour is on the verge of joining Marseille, turning down Zenit at the last minute.
The player underwent a medical with the Russian side yesterday, but he has been delaying a move in the hope that his first choice, Marseille, would seek to do a deal.
The Tunisian international and his agent are expected to arrive in Marseille this afternoon.
