Spanish attacker Brandon is set to leave France on loan this season, with an agreement being found between his parent club Rennes and Club Atlético Osasuna for the young forward. Having made just one start and eleven substitute appearances for Stade Rennais FC last season, it quickly became clear that more game time would be afforded to Brandon if he were to leave Rennes on loan.
While the young Spaniard’s time in Osasuna is temporary for the time being, the Spanish side will sign him permanently if they are promoted to La Liga come the end of the 2018/19 campaign.
A product of Mallorca’s academy, Brandon left his hometown club for France when Rennes signed him for €3m in July of 2017. The Spanish attacker initially struggled to find his feet in his new home, making just his first appearance in red and black in late October. From then on Brandon’s role was minimal, being used largely as an impact substitute to run at tired defences.
Brandon is a tricky and agile attacker and is comfortable playing in multiple positions across the forward line. The promising forward is adept through the middle as an attacking midfielder or striker but can also be used on either the left or right flanks as an advanced winger.
