RMC Sport report this afternoon that following Paris Saint-Germain player Aminata Diallo’s arrest over her suspected link to the assault of teammate Kheira Hamraoui, other PSG players had received threats in the days leading up to the attack.
Diallo had been placed under police custody this morning following the attack last Thursday, which she is suspected to have orchestrated. Several players, including Hamraoui, had received threats beforehand.
The incident saw Hamraoui assaulted by two masked men, one of whom hit her with an iron bar on the legs, after dragging her out of the car – which was being driven by Diallo – after returning from a team dinner. The midfielder emerged with several injuries on her thighs and shinbones – she is nevertheless said to be recovering well physically.
RMC Sport add that two security guards have been assigned to Kheira Hamraoui’s home – one inside and one outside. The relationship between Hamraoui and Diallo – who is presumed innocent – had been described as friendly and the pair had even gone on holiday together. Those close to the former are reportedly surprised about Diallo’s supposed link to the incident.
Le Journal du Dimanche report that the investigators’ link to Diallo came after the PSG players indicated they had received anonymous phone calls about Hamraoui, which were traced back to the area around a prison in Lyon. A man close to Diallo is currently incarcerated in that same prison – Lyon-Corbas – and has subsequently been taken into custody of the judiciary police as well.
