RMC Sport report this afternoon that Bordeaux are looking at Thierry Henry as a potential replacement to Vladimir Petković amid the club’s catastrophic run of form which has left them 19th in Ligue 1.
The former France striker, who has previously managed Monaco and is currently assistant manager of Belgium, has been working this season as a pundit for Amazon Prime’s Ligue 1 coverage.
Bordeaux’s next match against Strasbourg is said to be the Swiss manager’s last chance to save his job. Girondins club president Gérard Lopez is said to be a fan of Henry’s, and even looked into hiring him this summer before going for Petković.
The club themselves have not denied the links, although they insist that they are concentrating on the match on Sunday. Other options are said to be considered, beyond Henry, although the Arsenal legend is in contact with Lopez.
