Per reporting of La Provence, Marseille are keen on taking another shot at signing Atalanta’s Ruslan Malinovskyi. It was reported that Pablo Longoria had already tried to recruit the 29-year-old player last summer. The club is looking to acquire the Ukrainian midfielder on loan this winter. OM previously reached an agreement with the player but Atalanta set too high of a price tag for Marseille’s liking.
The midfielder has appeared 14 times for Atalanta this season managing a goal and 2 assists. The Ukrainian international arrived in Italy in 2019 and is in the last six months of his contract which expires in June 2023.
According to the Marseille president, the midfielder fits the playing style that Igor Tudor is looking for. However, the player is being pursued by several clubs and has been in top form. It is also worth noting Amine Harit’s arrival was the result of the failed attempt to bring in Malinovskyi. With the Moroccan international’s injury OM will look to fill the void left by his lengthy recovery time.
