It was really hard to continue, but I made the decision that I wouldn\u2019t give up. I decided to keep pushing forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Rush, it was writing music that helped him get through his struggles with mental health. He sees putting his music out for people to hear as a way to pay it forward and give them &#8220;something they could feel.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was a point when I wanted to give up on my dreams, just give up on everything, I wanted to give up on life,\u201d said Rush. \u201cWriting the lyrics to \u2018Scenic Lullaby\u2019 was therapeutic to me. I put my words to music so others could feel my struggle, understand why I am who I am, and feel what I feel on a daily basis.
