{"id":8415,"date":"2021-05-08T06:41:45","date_gmt":"2021-05-08T06:41:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sportsnewsforyou.com\/?p=8415"},"modified":"2021-05-08T06:41:45","modified_gmt":"2021-05-08T06:41:45","slug":"challenge-regensburg-coming-to-bavaria-next-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/googmn.com\/?p=8415","title":{"rendered":"Challenge Regensburg coming to Bavaria next year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p ><strong>The Bavarian city of Regensburg \u2013 one of Germany\u2019s oldest and most beautiful \u2013 is to host a new Challenge Family long-distance triathlon in the summer of next year, finishing in the Cathedral Square of the Old Town.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>    Advertisement<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p >The action will start on 14 August 2016 with a 3.8km swim in Lake Guggenberger, located just outside of town, followed by a 180km cycle through the Bavarian Forest Nature Reserve, finishing with a 42.2km run along the Danube before finishing in the centre of town.<\/p>\n<p >With a 1,500m total elevation, the bike leg is sure to challenge athletes \u2013 the two climbs of significance are located around the 30km and 100km marks, and have a maximum elevation of around 600m.
